UBWRFC 2nd Team Season Review

Updated: Mar 30, 2019

With 8 games played and over 30 people playing for the 2s, I want to reflect on what an incredible season it's been. I’m so proud to have been a part of a team that has gone from strength to strength, even though our current league position doesn't reflect our hard work and skill. Some parts of the season have been frustrating, with issues around post-half-time slumps, but overall we've played so well! Considering our first match against a 14 player Marjons team had us beat 45-5, our most recent match had us nearly beating them despite our team going down to 13 players! It's been a season of injuries, from concussions to ligament tears and fractured knee caps, but despite this everyone has come back with fighting spirit every week. My personal highlight of the season was beating UWE at their home ground - a well deserved win and a first for our Bristol 2s! Hoping for a repeat win at varsity!
